Paul Butler, AOC and MMD (Philips Monitors) Regional Sales Director for the UK and Ireland responds.
1 Let’s start with a quick snapshot – tell us how the year has been going so far for AOC?
2025 has been an extraordinary year for AOC. We’ve strengthened our position as the world’s leading gaming monitor brand for the sixth consecutive year, while celebrating seven years of our successful partnership with G2 Esports. Our AGON PRO portfolio has reached new heights with ground-breaking products like our 610 Hz esports monitors and cutting-edge QD-OLED displays, perfectly positioning us to serve the evolving needs of both competitive gamers and business professionals.
2 What are some of the latest developments at AOC that partners and the wider industry should know about?
We’ve launched game-changing products across both gaming and business segments. Our new AGON PRO CS24A and AG246FK6 monitors deliver extraordinary high refresh rate performance. The CS24A in particular is developed in collaboration with Counter-Strike 2 and features an iconic CS2 branding. Furthermore, our impressive AG276QZD2 QD-OLED monitor featuring a 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms response time breaks records in terms of QD-OLED sales. We’ve also ramped up our value offerings with the affordable G4 line-up with many high refresh rate (240 Hz+) models. In the B2B space, we’ve introduced our new Essential E4 and Professional P4 series featuring TCO Certified Generation 10 certification, demonstrating our commitment to sustainability with unprecedented 5-year warranties across all models.
3 If you could give one key piece of advice to MSPs today that would make a measurable difference to their business, what would it be?
Focus on becoming a trusted advisor rather than just a hardware supplier. Today’s customers need partners who understand their specific challenges – whether that’s a gaming enthusiast seeking competitive advantages or a business implementing sustainable workplace solutions. By developing a deep expertise in vertical markets and aligning with certification standards such as TCO Certified Generation 10 or EPEAT, you can differentiate yourself through value-added consultation that drives long-term customer relationships and higher margins.
4 You’re sponsoring the AV Distributor of the Year award. What are the biggest trends you’re seeing in this space right now, and what would you expect to see from a winner?
The market is driven by two key demands: ultra-high performance gaming displays (QD-OLED, MiniLED and Dual-Mode monitors) and sustainable business solutions. We’re seeing an unprecedented gaming monitor development in the competitive gaming scene, while businesses increasingly prioritise sustainable products that demonstrate environmental responsibility throughout the product. A winning distributor combines technical expertise with sustainability leadership, offering comprehensive support from specification through implementation while understanding that modern customers want partners who align with their values and performance demands as well as budgetary frameworks.
